Avon Family Cafe

Love this cafe! The service is always amazing and the food is as well! The owner is lovely and has worked hard for 28 years or so.

Finding this place was just more evidence that God loves us. Last summer, I was driving my family to Glacier NP while pulling our 36-foot fifth-wheel camper. The first mistake I made that day was adding half-and-half creamer to the thermos of coffee. See, my wife doesn't do dairy or gluten very well, and I just assumed we would find our normal afternoon coffee stop along the way somewhere. Well, there was no place in Helena that I could get in and out of with that massive hotel room behind us, and the wife was not happy! Afternoon coffee, in my opinion, is an antidepressant, so when I saw this little place with a big gravel lot, I pulled in. It did not look like much from the outside, but I decided to give it a try. Upon entering, the atmosphere was just my kind of place — a good old-fashioned family diner. As the lady at the counter made a fresh pot of coffee, I noticed some amazing-looking cinnamon rolls for sale. I inquired curiously if they had a gluten-free option, and to my surprise, they did! The gal even warmed one up for me to give to my wife. She cried when I got back in the truck and gave it to her...To imagine a little diner in the middle of nowhere would have such a treat was incredible. An experience we will always remember. Unexpected gem! Super friendly wait staff. The pancakes are literally as big as the plate. The tater babies were great. And they have gluten free bread!

This is a great little place off the side of the road. If you blink, you'll miss it! The food is sooo good (big portions) and the people who work there are just wonderful old-school peeps. Love it!Oh, I can't forget, clean bathrooms, too!

While on the road trip saw this place and decided to stop by and have a quick meal. It's just a simple shack that had some SUPER AMAZING food. Most of the desserts are made in house. I ended up getting a simple 2 egg and biscuit breakfast and a vanilla cheese cake slice. wow! They also had some amazing local artists works for sale.

I use to eat here a lot when I was younger. My grandpa Clayton Weedeman lived and worked in Avon. It was so awesome to stop for a bite. Brought back memories

What a nice surprise to find this restaurant on our drive between Helena and Missoula. The service was great and the food was delish. I think that may have been the best Huckleberry milkshake I've ever had. Everything tasted homemade; you can't beat that.
